HISTORY lovers can go along to a free session aimed at examining the town’s timber frame buildings which is being held on Wednesday (July 8) in the training room of Droitwich Fire Station.
It will begin at 7.30pm and will be led by Lyn Blewitt.
It is part of the Historic Droitwich Project and has been organised to help people discover the history of the structures in the High Street and Friar Street.
One of them – 31 High Street – has already been dated back as far as 1339 to 40 with later additions in 1594.
The meeting will give greater detail about how the buildings were constructed and how they can be researched, along with the importance of Droitwich’s historic core and the value of teaching others about them.
The organisers want to know how many people are attending so those hoping to go along should book their place by calling Claire Lloyd on 01905 771865.
